DreamHack Hannover 2023 Presents a Compelling Program of LAN Party, Esports, and Fan-Favorite Activities

Freaks 4U Gaming, a global full-service agency specializing in esports and gaming, is once again presenting a diverse and compelling program at DreamHack Hannover in December. Following the successful launch of the first edition of DreamHack Hannover with over 20,000 attendees, the upcoming gaming festival is stepping up a notch. At the same time, fan favorites like the Cosplay Contest, LAN Party, and the ESL Meisterschaft finale are making a return.

The DreamHack Hannover will take place from December 14th to 17th; the LAN party runs from December 14th to 17th, while the Festival including esports tournaments, an expo area, Creator Hub, cosplay competition, and Artist Alley will be open from December 15th to 17th at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds.

Esports – Over three days, the world’s first E-Sports tournament for the new title Escape from Tarkov: Arena takes place. Six teams compete for a prize pool of 100,000 euros. A show match between content creators and professional players is also featured. The ESL Meisterschaft final will be held, marking the end of the more than 20-year-old league with a fitting farewell at DreamHack.

LAN Party – Throughout the entire four days of DreamHack Hannover, a LAN party with space for up to 1,000 participants is held. Gamers can qualify for tournaments on the main stage and win cash prizes. League of Legends offers a prize of €3,000, Valorant €2,000, and PUBG: Battlegrounds €1,000. Winners of Age of Empires 2 and Teamfight Tactics each receive €500. The Relaxation Area provides a space for peace, and participants have 24/7 support for technical issues.

Cosplay – With over 50 registrations, a larger Cosplay Contest than the previous year is happening. The competition for the €5,000 prize pool is accordingly intense. Apart from the competition, attendees can take photos in the Photo Booth, repair minor damages at the Repair Station, and admire special guests at their booths. These include the Umbrella Corporation and the German Garrison 501st Legion, which has traveled from a galaxy far, far away.

Tabletop Area – Fans of analog gaming also have plenty to enjoy. Card players can compete in One Piece Treasure Cup, Digimon Regional, or Flesh & Blood: Battle Hardened. Those new to the world of card games can learn Magic the Gathering at the Demo Booth. Role players receive support from prominent Game Masters like Mháire Stritter of Orkenspalter TV and the Dragion Legion. Besides guided sessions, many other pen-and-paper rule sets are available. Board game fans are taken care of by Tabletop Treff Hannover with support from major publishers such as Kosmos, Pegasus, Hasbro, and Feuerland. The developers provide a variety of games that can be borrowed for free on-site.

Artist Alley – The Artist Alley is a new addition to DreamHack. More than 40 artists from Germany and the region, including tattoo artists, showcase their works to the community. Visitors can browse through the booths and find a creative Christmas gift.

Speedrun – Another novelty is the Charity Stream by Germench. The largest German community of speedrunners will conduct a live stream at their stand during DreamHack and donate the proceeds to a good cause.

Creators – DreamHack will host content creators onsite, with more than 100 expected talents. Many creators like Tanzverbot, SkylineTV, and Lamy not only visit DreamHack but also have their own area at the LAN to play with their fans. Other talents, including Hankyy, Shorty, Noah Zett, Crunchyscosplay, and Spider_HF, are also present and stream live from the Creator Hub at the gaming festival.
